FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SANDOWN, N.H. – Merrimack Valley Roofing and Gutters LLC is advancing its commercial low-slope roofing capabilities through continued focus on systems such as EPDM, TPO, PVC, and manufacturer training paths connected to Carlisle, Elevate, Versico, and related commercial roof-system brands.
Low-slope roofing requires different technical knowledge than steep-slope residential shingles. Drainage, seams, penetrations, insulation, attachment methods, membrane selection, and manufacturer warranty rules all affect long-term performance on commercial and flat-roof structures.
Barry James recently earned the CertainTeed Modified Bitumen Master Craftsman Credential with a score of 68 out of 84, or 81%, and completed the CertainTeed Liquid-Applied Roofing Master Craftsman Credential with a perfect score of 33 out of 33, reinforcing Merrimack Valley Roofing's emphasis on technical education for specialized roofing applications beyond standard steep-slope shingles. The modified bitumen result screen stated that James was now a CertainTeed Modified Bitumen Master Craftsman and that a certificate would be mailed to support promotion of the credential. A related CertainTeed certificate recognizes James as a Master Craftsman Liquid-Applied Roofing Contractor for SMARTCOAT liquid-applied roof systems and is valid through June 9, 2028.
"Commercial roofing is a different discipline," said Barry James. "You need to understand the roof as a water-management system, not just a surface. Training and documentation matter."
Merrimack Valley Roofing serves residential and commercial property owners with roof inspections, roof replacement planning, leak review, storm-damage documentation, and roof-system recommendations across southern New Hampshire and northeastern Massachusetts.
